Okay, so I just finished this thing and all is well so far. However, the bass pot does it's bass thing up to a point and then cuts all the bass out for a small rotation and comes back continuing the bass increase to the end of the taper. It's an Alpha. This seems too odd to be backwards wiring of lugs A and C but I'll leave that to those more knowledgable than me. Bad pot perhaps??

Yeah, most likely. Almost a sure thing.

Well if it's wired correctly then I would say it's a bad pot especially if you did any soldering on the back of it.
Turn the pot to full CW (10) when soldering to the back that can help save the tracing.

Yes I did solder to the back, BUT, I removed the back and torched it as not to harm the taper. I wouldn't think that the light soldering after the fact would have done much damage, but I'm not sure. Probably just one of Alpha's casualties of large scale manufacturing. Next time all pots will be PEC rather than just a couple..

Found the problem.
I should've seen it before I started building, but I didn't look close enough.
After I put the back of the pot on the bass after torching, I noticed it was upside down. I figured it was no matter but didn't notice the back was touching some lugs. I did a reading before pulling it a litttle while ago and at about 600k it jumped to 1.5r shunting to ground. I checked it again after fixing it and the pot's good.
