It varies from circuit to circuit.
The screens of the power tubes on the Rocket are taken off the power supply after the choke.

So you need to consider four EL84 screens.
At idle that is 4 x 5.5mA = 22mA + the PI and Preamp current draw.
At maximum signal the screen current will shoot up to about 40mA in total. Hit your E7 chord and, on paper at least, there will be smoke and silence.

Going madly over the top with the mA rating is probably not a good idea either.
It is in the nature of chokes being non linear WRT the current pulled through them. Swings and roundabouts.

I just built 2 AC30 circuits with 10H 125mA 256 ohm chokes, is this overkill and should I use a 75 or 100mA instead?

They do both sound killer BTW, one with a Hammond AC30 OP and the other a Heyboer Dynaco A470.

It sounds good to you = a job well done!
I used a 100ma, but would take a 125 if I had one next time.

Throwing a monster 200mA choke in there would theoretically be over the top because, with so little current passing through, it would not work as intended.
That is the theory.
If I get time this weekend I would like to try it out in PSU designer.
I have a few monster chokes which I could splice into the Rocket.
Just need time!
