I've found that you need to find the Internet communities where your potential buyers are, hang out a while, and then post a link to your eBay auction.
Obviously, the wrong place to post is on a pedal builders board.
Maybe TGP or Harmony Central, though I'm not sure having to stomach those for any amount of time would justify the profits.
A few years ago I realized I had quite a few old pedals that were hard to find and popular. I cloned them and took them to a local shop 'Trading Musician' that specializes in used gear. I didn't get thousands for them, and TM turned around and sold them for twice what they gave me, but I didn't have to deal with eBay or shipping or crappy buyers.
And my clones actually sounded better and were quieter than the originals.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.
