Never success here either, but I have a friend who 6-8 times a year gets 200-400% more than a thing is worth, sometimes a little more.

I've found that you need to find the Internet communities where your potential buyers are, hang out a while, and then post a link to your eBay auction.

Obviously, the wrong place to post is on a pedal builders board.

Maybe TGP or Harmony Central, though I'm not sure having to stomach those for any amount of time would justify the profits.

A few years ago I realized I had quite a few old pedals that were hard to find and popular. I cloned them and took them to a local shop 'Trading Musician' that specializes in used gear. I didn't get thousands for them, and TM turned around and sold them for twice what they gave me, but I didn't have to deal with eBay or shipping or crappy buyers.

And my clones actually sounded better and were quieter than the originals.

It's a gear polisher's conundrum:

It's all original . . . but it isn't handmade by unbalanced individual who is popular on the forums right now.

It's a proven sound that's been in steady use for decades . . . and doesn't have the latest hotness in unicorn tears and manticore piss enhancing the signal path under the audiophile-grade goop.

It has the magic original IC like no one has ever confirmed is in the ones my heroes used but they just must have because it's rarer and their tone couldn't just be the result of years of hard woodshedding. . . but it's not true bypass.

Whatever to do? And at that price, can I afford not to buy it?

But seriously, it makes sense that a guitar with little to no mids would benefit from a TS which is very mid heavy. Not my thing though.
