Some people have strong feelings about Banjo music. Me? I can take it or leave it. I have an accordion! No Banjos.

My daughter just had her first banjo lesson today…we saw Punch Brothers last night, might have something to do with it.

Anyway, this death-by-banjo article had already been forwarded to our teacher. Yeah, laugh it up, he says.

My Uncle always told me, "The only thing banjos are good for is kindling for accordion fires".

That is a very sad story, but there are so many setup lines in that newspaper story, I am having trouble controlling myself.

Banjo? Ban-jer.

Wow. Bluegrass drum takes another life. All in a day's work around here. I bet you there are 50 songs about that story before the end of festival season.

For some reason playing the banjo always seemed hard to me.I mean it really only seems playing really fast sounds good.Playing and picking fast would take a lot of practice.I would rather buy a dobro. They are played slow and have great slide tone.Mikey

No bliegrass instrument is played slowly where I come from. haha

Only at funerals, and then only until the mandolin break.

I'll take banjo over harmonica anytime. When I stuck in a situation where it is unavoidable and the harmonica "player" uses the PA for amplification, I have learned to unplug my monitor to keep from having my head taken off.

When I was a kid, my grandfather gave me a "banjo mandolin." All beat up. Took it apart, never got it back together.

If an electric guitar was used it would have been an axe murder.

A friend of mine went out for a bite to eat with his wife, he played banjo and was
on his way to a gig after , so he left his banjo in the car.

When he got back out to the parking lot after... he panicked seeing that someone had smashed
a window out on his car, but when got there to check on his car and his banjo...
to his surprise he looked in on the back seat and saw two banjos sitting there...

My bassist locked his keys in the car. Took us an hour to get the drummer out.
