International shipping HELP!
For over a month I have been looking for an economical way to ship a Marshall Major to Norway. The price quotes have been between $475-$1,100.
What on Earth?
Anyone have a magic answer? I wouldn't feel positive about shipping the amp for prices like that. Insanity.
Sorry Roe! I have been trying everything!

Re: International shipping HELP!
Do you know someone in your circles flying over to Norway soon? Ask them to bring it over as checked extra luggage. Should be ca 100-175$ with SAS, see the price list:

I don't, but any ideas are helpful! I am at the end of my sanity with these shippers. Insanity is the word, for sure.

At $1100, you might as well take advantage of the opportunity to make a personal delivery!

Yes. Fiscally. Yes. Over the cliff. Fear nothing but the future. It has the best chance at smothering us without conscience.

Re: International shipping HELP!
Which boggles the mind considering the following...
Sent a kid down to a local neighborhood convenience store/deli to pick up some garlic. Used some that night and noticed a day or so later the rest had turned to dust.
I looked on the label and it said "Product of China." I assume that the convenience store probably bought it at some place like Sam's Club.
How in the hell can it be cost effective to ship garlic from China?
Obviously on a damn slow boat.
I'm with Phil, for that much you could deliver it personally and take a nice vacation. While you're there, try the lutefisk.
