Tony, AFAIR the Bluesmaster layout in the files section doesn't show the brand and part number etc. of the original OT. Why?

Cheers,

Good Question..The BM I had shots to at the time of the layout (and was used primary for the layout) was loaded w/6L6's.. I couldn't make out the part # on it.. It didn't appear to be either Fender (Schumacher) or Magic Parts.. It resembled that of a Mercury Magnetic s but this is a guess..The bells were black and only have a side view..I have since seen shots of other BM amps that were loaded with EL-34's and use the Magic Parts OT like the one pictured below..

Hope This Helps!!

Tony

I'd talk to Brian at Marstan. He'd have some good transformers for EL-34 equipped amps. Another option would be the Music Man transformer set.
Yours Sincerely

I'd have to agree, I've used a Marstran Plexi OT on an HRM with uber good results (think it was the "JMPC1998"), very close sounding to the original Magic Parts trafo Dumble used IMO.

This amp has a Marstran OT with EL34's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ie5gBGMS ... ature=plcp

Sure, for EL34 versions that would be a decent option. However the 100W lot typically runs with 4 6L6s, and I guess most Bluesmasters were loaded with 6L6, so we're more into Twin-like or Dual Showman-like OTs I guess. Anybody has a model number of a Heyboer or other manufacturer that is deemed superior to Niks Promitheusaudios, that he or she (?!?!) - still wonder if I will one day meet a girl bulding amps- successfully used for that specific purpose? (100W, 6L6 type)

I would also think about using a JMP 100 transformer set and use KT-66 in lieu of either EL-34 or 6L6's.

That might be the best of both worlds?
