I drew this up from looking at the pics.

In the proto it looks like there is a master cut control rather than the contour/presonence control.

I don't know exact values but this should be close.

Cheers,
Aaron

MHartman, the amp sounds Great man, great job.

The Full SSS is a Monster of an Amp, and this scaled down version seems like the way to go if you're worried about bringing the Icey Hot,Heat pad and 100lb amp head to a gig.

Thanks again guys. Damn Aaron, if I didn't know better, I would think that you had a whole team of draftsmen working on schematics and layouts! :.).

So can you comment on Aaron's schematic with respect to your amp as built (which sounds great, BTW!)?
- Is the basic topology the same?
- Is the power supply string the same as far as filtering, dropping, and which nodes feed which parts of the circuit?
- Is the reverb signal source, driver, and recover/mixer correct?
FWIW, I don't see any ethical issue with you posting details about your take on a TR design...

It pains me to say this (because I really want to share as much info as I can around here), but I'm not going to create or post an exact schem. I have several reasons for this: (1) I think I'm pretty close to the real thing and I don't like publically posting details about current production amps. I don't want to cut into anyone's bottom line and the folks over at Two Rock are working hard to produce very cool amps and they are real people who work hard at their jobs; and (2) I've corresponded with some folks working on similar projects, some of whom have shared ideas and info with me and asked me to keep info confidential.
It pains me to say it ... I am glad my 124 classic layout helped you..

I know, I know.... I think you also know a thing or two about giving people who helped you out your word when they have helped on the condition of confidentiality. I'm a genuinely thankful for your layouts and help, they have helped me and everyone here a ton. That being said, I'm not going to disclose certain details where I have given my word on confidentiality. I hope you can understand. I'm not trying to be an ass -- I'm trying to keep my promises to some members who are more open behind the scenes. What really "pains me" is that, either way, I come off looking like an ass to someone. Maybe I should have just not posted this thread, but I really did want to say a thank you.

I haven't had the chance yet to go through the schem in detail, but as I said above, my amp is just the clean side of a dumble with reverb added. The power section, I believe is exactly as it is in the pic (2.2k, 22k, 2.2k). Node 1 feeds the PI, Node 2 feeds V2 and V4 and Node 3 feeds V1. The Offshoot node (10k) feeds the reverb driver (V3). Also, I have gone back and forth on hanging a resistor from the last node to ground to make up for the lack of a FET. I've tried it both ways and haven't really decided that I like one over the other.

The reverb, driver and mixer appear correct. The trick is, though, figuring out how much clean signal to send to the mixer and then balancing the reverb and the dry coming out of the mixer. I would suggest trimmers in these locations instead of resistors as I am still 100% happy with my amp in these regards and I have torn out and replaced my resistors in these locations multiple times.

I hope that this helps. Mike

No No I understand clearly

I also appreciate that you posted the Thank You thread..(from my chair you are welcome) Just understand that the guy's like me who share the info then read your disclamer as to why they couldn't post the info get even more discouraged. At the same time I do not want to discourage builders like yourself from posting the info you can and attaching clips as well..This also reinforces my claim that everything now a days comes with a do not post attached..I am not certain if there is a way around it.. I don't think there is and I don't want to derail your thread..Perhaps you can give back and help those that try to build an amp like yours..

Enjoy your Amp!!

Thanks Tony. I fully intend to give back to the community as much as I can. I don't have a ton of experience with Dumbles, but 6 months of researching, planning and tweaking on this one certainly has given me some opinions on/insight into this type of "semi-Dumble", clean channel build.

Thanks for the kind words TopBrent!

If you REALLY want to make one of these and you are willing to do your homework, this is all of the info that you will need.

Thanks again to everyone here for the education and the sense of community!

We judge ourselves by our intentions. We judge others by their actions :) Just sayin...

I didn't listen to your clips :) I do like the build. You did a nice job of copying TR.
