just a quick one , the vibro champ calls for a 2ma pot for the speed, can i get away with a 1 meg

Yes and no. I think the actual pot is 3meg, reverse audio. With the pot fully ccw (anticlockwise, for you 
) you have the full 3meg in series with the 100K to ground. With only 1M, the trem will be very fast and have little adjustment range. If you must try it, you may get something useable by increasing the size of the caps in the phase loop. You may have to fiddle with the resistors, as well. Much easier, really, to order the proper pot.

cheers i,m working from this scheme which looks like 50 counter clockwise and a 2m(which is the one i,m struglling on )

Same issue. Speed will be off with 1M. Try making the. 022 .047 instead.
