Thanks for the info TM
This might be in my near future...

Thanks again...and have a safe Happy New Year

Darin new stuff, JJ's in the first one and Tung Sol in this one. I had the PT's custom wound, but I believe at one time Mojo sold a low power (300-50-0-300) Twin PT. However, that PT of course doesn't have the 6.3V winding for the relays. Nevertheless, here's the specs.

Here is another cool set up you can do with the output section.
This mod will let you choose between 2 6v's or 2 EL-34's or 6L's whatever you prefer, switchable or select between cathode and fixed bias. You of coarse have to set up separate bias supply's
Great work!!
Tony
Thanks Tony, I might have to try this in the future.
Finally mounted in it's home. This one I believe is the most input sensitive D Style amp that I've build so far and it has a whole different character than the 2nd Gen I built with 500V on the plates. Finally reducing the V1-V2 voltages made a difference in feel too, the filtering is also lower than what's normally found at those positions as well.
TM, this is a really interesting build! Has it turned out as expected in terms of the sound? Does it favour a pickup type? Some sound clips would of course be wonderfull!
Hi TM,
I followed this build of yours with interest and wondered how you feel about it after living with it for a few months. Have you found it a versatile amp or does it favour a particular pickup?
Curious to know!

Dr d it has the low plates and a 4th gen classic tone stack, which gets along well with both singles and humbuckers. I've never really been knocked over by the clean tones of a high plate skyliner, so maybe the low plates, classics are more versatile.
