Relays cutting off

Post by gary sanders »

When I have the OD and PAB on the relays cut off and on.They only do this when they are both on.Could I have it where they are pulling too much current? I used a radio shack 12 volt transformer on them

Unless you have relays that draw several hundred ma of current that PT(unless its the PCB based one) should suffice when both coils are activated. But first, what style of relay supply did you build and is it regulated? Next, what are the specs of the relays that you used? You could compare the B+ at each relay coil when both are activated against the minimum coil voltage of the relay.

I had a similar problem and it was my cord that was actually faulty and cutting out intermittently. Does this happen when you don't have a footswitch attached? You've probably tried this but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask anyway.
