Hi! My name is Ritchie Demonick. I have devoted 10 years of my life playing electric guitar. The quality requirements for sound is still growing for me and I undestood that well-known manufacturers of guitar amplifiers dont provide the sound quality I were archieving. While listening to records of world-wide stars like Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Scott Henderson I was convinced that sound containing smoothness in intervals and at the same time very long sustain is possible. Visiting web-sites of these guitar players I firstly heard about legendary master of tube guitar amplifiers Alexander ("Howard") Dumble. After long searches and hard work on sound quality I managed to create an amplifier which contains the best qualities of Dumbles amplifiers. The design of the amplifier is made also in Dumbles style. The amp I made possesses high universality. It sounds well as single or humbucker type guitar pickups. Acoustics with pickups on clean channel amazes with its expressiveness and depth. But the primary highlight of this amplifier is drive channel. Its dynamics lets you play chords on more thinly play and at stronger attack to execute impressive solo with unbelievable sustain. This amplifier is recommended for such styles as rhythm n blues, jazz rock, fusion, funky. The amplifier is made for high level musicians wishing to transfer the slightest nuances of guitar play. The demo given here is filmed on amateur Sony camera to transfer the natural sound of the amplifier without processing. The guitar player in this fragment is a good friend of mine, Andre Yevsukov (www.myspace.com/andreyevsukov). If you are interested in this amplifier you can write a private message to ritchie_demonick@inbox.lv

Re: who is this guy?
The playing is continuous while the camera angles swap, so I dunno if I buy the explination of how it was recorded.

Re: who is this guy?
He uploaded the video on Feb 27, 2009
Seems to me it's external stationary mic plugged into the camera, it doesn't do much to help the sound. Sounds like it's been recorded with cameras default 12 bit audio resolution + compression. Did this a couple times myself with rather unsatisfactory results.
Name looks made up, not a trace of Latvian origin in it.

Re: who is this guy?
That's some nice tone and playing in my book.

Yes he had some nice chops in there. I must admit I was picking up my gat before the video finished and going back over the bit between about sec31 and sec42.

As to the tone, its kinda bluesy for a stand alone jam, but I don't know how that crunch setting would hold up in a blues club jam night when everything is dimed - that tone isn't clean enough for that methinks

Re: who is this guy?
Heh. I like to wail on guitars really hard, but if I had to choose.. it'd be bop.

Could be the recording medium, but I agree with Tubewell. The OD has the smoothness of a Dumble, but too much distortion,...and the chords are very over-driven.
