May I chime in and say that I'm also in dire need of getting that schematic.
I'm gladly looking forward to a PN, too :)

I have such an amp here where the reverb has stopped working.
It's a model MINI/TEENY-BRUTE.

Thanks in advance,

Christoph

I'd be interested in this Schematic. I have one on my bench now and the ones I have found online half of the schematic you can not read. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Considering the last post on this thread was from 2012 I'm guessing it's likely the OP and replying members may no longer be around to reply....

Hi, what amp exactly do you have? What kind of tolex? I have a bunch.

If you tell me the symptoms I might be able to point you in the right direction as well.

it is a blue cloth on it, sort of fuzzy. the output is extremely low on it.

there is some oxidation I found on the power supply board that I cleaned off and just starting to look through the amp.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, that one shouldn't be too hard to get going. Here is a list of schematics. I can't give you the exact one because there are 2 different power amps (one with an IC). Here's what you should do.

On the back there should be a main out Jack. That will be a preamp out. Run that out into another amp, or measure the output, a recording interface, whatever. If you get good clean signal, the issue is preamp based.

You can confirm by plugging something into the RCA input on the power amp. It should be on the top of the power amp chassis. Be careful make sure what you're plugging in has a volume control because the amp is running full bore at all times. If you get a good loud signal out of the power amp, you know that's good to go.

If both the preamp out is fine, and the power amp works fine, take a look at the Molex connectors that pair the two. Hope that helps.

PS, I love polytones!!! I still have 3. They're my most played through amps (even though I have much nicer). They just feel right
