One other question, in general if you have an amp that is bassy in general, where would you start to adjust parts?
From what I've read the LP is not bassy in nature but yet I find I'm running with treble, mid, presence all at 1 o'clock and bass at 8 o'clock with the bright switch down to get these tones.
That's why I had earlier comments about liking single coils as it had more bite to it.

I am gearing up for Rocket build. After hearing your clips, I wonder if the Liverpool should be next
Nah, I'll go ahead with my Rocket, I already have an Express to get my high gain stuff going. You can believe I'll have all three before too long! I liked clip 2...had a kind of eerie feel to it. Sort of like Gilmore's stuff (Dave).

The generally accepted values are usually thought of as 150k / .002 - what you see in the layout.lions den wrote:What are the stock values for R7/C8? I see ranges on the schematic.

Never heard of a bassy liverpool, I want to know your secret sauce to achieve that.

Mark, wish I knew what the secret sauce was as well.
Still need to chase down the swirl effect that's going on. I tried a lower value for R7 and no big change, and also put a 12at7 in the PI slot and not impacts either.
Not sure what other measurements I can take with standard DVM, as I don't have a scope.
Need to order a bunch of different cap and resistor values to have around to experiment. Rocket build is scheduled to show up tomorrow and anxious to build that as well.
