Can I run a rocket on 120ma or am I going to fry my PT?

woops, even at zero signal with a quad of EL84s you will see a minimum of 180mA draw - check the tube data sheets.
Maximum signal would be around 240mA. The regular 300mA PT is a safe choice.

That's asking a lot... you are not likely to be in class A when you really get it cranking so you'll probably never see the absolute max but you'll still be way over the line. Maybe build a two output tube Rocket and monitor the temperature on your power tranny. YMMV rj

Thank you for the replies! I think I'll put this on hold then. My local tech said It would probably be fine but I don't feel comfortable taking the chance now. The transformer in question is an 18-watt style from triodestore which I have been powering my 2-bottle rocket with (which I've put 100+ hours on with no problems) and I want to add the additional power tubes since the little gal is having trouble keeping up with the bands I'm playing with. I have checked the EL84 datasheet and the current draw is a lot higher than what I thought it was.
