Kenny Wayne Shephard Dumble Tweedle Deluxe

Post by boldaslove6789 »

KWS discusses the new Dumble Tweedle Deluxe.

He says in the interview the following:

"The amp was originally a Custom Shop Fender Tweed Deluxe reissue. Alexander Dumble gutted it and built his own circuit in there. The amp has a 25w Celestion Greenback. The amp is roughly 15 or 18w."

Bear in mind, if he gutted it he could have put a different transformer set in that have drastically effected the tone and the volume. I wonder if he has replaced the 6V6's with EL-34's?
Yours Sincerely

It would seem there is not alot of stage volume there already those amps are small.... Granted a small amp can be loud as we all know but no 100s or 150 watter's..... there smaller footprints... if the Tweedle is 18 its LOUD @ 18..
but all are mic'd so it would seem the volume does not have to be brutal.

I guess it helps he married Mel Gibsons daughter ... I am sure she can afford several Dumbles herself...she does the artwork on the guitars it seems...

Wonder what these are costing.....
