Great looking build.
Are you going to arrange your 2 cathode wires and plate wire on V1 and V2 so they touch each other for about an inch or so?

Yes, I forgot about that part!

I have a challenge with my preamp voltages being too high:
pins 1 and 6
V1 261 / 253
V2 265 / 256
V3 262 / 264

I don't have experience with this part of the process, I'm thinking this is the adjustment to the dropping string? Can anyone point me to t thread where this process is defined?

Thanks
Eric

Eric, here's my last documentated voltages before I buttoned up my 183. I think we are using the same PT transformer too. I agree with Tony, start at your V3 and is the FET circuit working?

String: 2.76K>18K>2.2K

GE JAN 12AX7WA V1: 198/204V
GE JAN 12AX7WA V2: 198/205V
GE JAN 12AX7WA V3: 313/307V
Gold Lion KT77 V4-V7: 455V/453V screens

The volume seems low with the regular jack. FET, which I had not checked, does not seem to be working, no volume at all.

Eric
What's the value of the dropping resistor between the screens and PI?
Can't make it out in the pic..Should be like 2k or 3k3 then around 22k for V2..Also looks like the V2 dropper is 220 ohms red red brown or am I seeing things

Tony, that brown 10W ohmite is a 3K and his string appears to be 3K>2.2K>22K,whereas it should be 3K>22k>2.2K using the AGB power board.
