Editable D-style schematics

Post by 10thTx »

Is there anyway, TAG could support editable ExpressSCH schematics for the D-style schematics and/or clones? It looks like a number of forum members use that program.

I know the Hoffman forum has a pretty large library of schematic snd layouts of that type. And they are posted often in different threads so people can edit them and show corrections or tweaks to a particular build.

It appears that there are enough tweaks done to the standard clones, that it might be useful to be able to grab a editable SCH schematic to show/explain what one has done?

I don't know about others but I have been reviewing those .sch files for a few years now, great resource of information.

Once you load .sch you can export to other file types.

Yes, you can download to Bitmap and change to GIF for example.

The nice thing about the ExpressSCH file is that I can post both a GIF and SCH version for feedback.

For example, let's say I am getting too much _____ & want more ______.
I post a GIF of what I currently am using and the SCH file.

Someone grabs the SCH file, edits it easily & reposts a solution.

Honestly, if we could make an editable file for the most typical D-style builds, .......... then it would be really easy to share tweaks and suggestions. This is something that I'd be willing to help with if others would participate also?

Just a thought. I just finished a BluesMaster without HRM in an editable version for example. Attached is the GIF version converted from the editable schematic.

I'll give jschem a try. So far I have never found a schematic capture program I've liked.

Are there special libraries for tube amps somewhere?

Can one of the moderators please let me know if TAG would like to host the editable SCH schematics & whether or not TAG can host that file type.
