I really think that KF was way ahead of his time. Now that high quality clones of his circuits are readily available to joe six pack for the first time, the true genius of his designs will finally see widespread acceptance.

I am very sad to see him go, I have known about his stuff for years, but really got to me when I heard one of his amps in real life, after that my amp guru was Ken Fisher !!

Ken Fisher was one of the most brilliant, amp tech I have ever encountered. Always with focus on good build and tone, don't get me startet on tone, MAN this guy had good ears !!

But I am glad to see his legasy lives on in the komet amp company...

The Trainwreck, finally came to a hold... A moment of silence, switch off the amps for Ken.

Ken Fischer was the inspiration for this group and I think we all owe him a bit of gratitude. Despite what others may claim, he did give the board his blessing and he taught us so much through his work.

Rest in peace, Ken!
Though I never knew you personally, your work has inspired and tutored me more than any other ampbuilder. May your heritage spread and prosper to the best guitar tone in the world.
Thank you!!!!!

Keep an eye on this thread and on the Gear Page for an announcement that will knock your socks off.

Over 70 people are working together to build one "final" amp as a tribute to ken and 100% of the proceeds directly paid to the family.

Things are under way and announcements should come out in a week or so. This is one to drool over.

You can guess...but, It's Bob Burt! His is making it out of ancient Kauri wood. The cab alone is worth $2K. You'd drool over the tubes too!

sounds like this is even more over-the-top.

i'll just wait for the story to unfold, to hear about the tubes.

i'm at work now, and i want to be able to get up from my desk without embarassing myself.

I'm sure others have seen the piece in Vintage Guitar.

But, if you haven't, a nice piece on Ken in the April 2007 Vintage Guitar magazine.
