I'm currently putting together parts for a JTM45 build and i noticed Marsh now have a Dumble clone up on their site.
Has any one had any experience with this amp?
I might try and grab one as a kit if they are up for it.
Is there a general consensus about the quality of Marsh kits in general?

No Experience but have been following Marsh's site for a few years. They now offer low powered Dumble as well the FSX-30R with four 6V6s.
My guess is they are dealer component packs from Ceriatone and assembled by Marsh.

I was guessing the same thing based on the same style face and back plate and box.M Fowler wrote:No Experience but have been following Marsh's site for a few years. They now offer low powered Dumble as well the FSX-30R with four 6V6s.

Any ways.
I sent them and email about selling as a kit and got a reply back saying nope.

The old pictures showed the Holy Grail caps which gave the source away

Nik will sell a pack kit just email him. The complete pack minus transformers, tubes and cab is priced well. Save a lot on parts hunting otherwise CE chassis in black are still available and www.rjguitars.net has a tubes up version called the #124 or you could make it any wattage amp.

Ha ha.. thats funny..M Fowler wrote:The old pictures showed the Holy Grail caps which gave the source away![]()
I'm probably going to go with RJ later in the year.
I costed a 183 - blues master - hybrid build out and simply can't afford it at the moment.
I can just afford a JTM45 build, and i might have some one on the hook to buy it if it is a good as my last 45. I also have some Piher carbon films for it and plan to use SOZO vintage caps and then get the rest from a web site called Valvestorm. I'll probably get the box and chassis from Nik.
I'm tossing up wether to use classic tone or Marstran Iron.
I've used Marstran in a couple of marshall builds and it adds a very cool open but ballsy tone. I liked it so much i put some in my EL34 based dumble build that i got from Nik.
Any ways.. I managed to sell my last 45 for a shade under $3K NZD a year back, so if i can get close to that this time i will be well inside my budget for the dumble build.
