The serial is ink?
There are two versions. The other is a small mother of pearl plaque with the number engraved. Most of the placcard models are deep cherry sb, from what I have seen.

Hey Mikey - here's my squeeze from the old Gibson plant in Kalamazoo.
The Heritage factory over there is still going - they make some fine instruments.
My only beef with this guitar is it's too pretty.
