I don't think the model number relates to the speakers used in a fender. The Jensen c10n are my favorite though. Those caps are original , except the F&T of course. I would use the 20uf sprague or the F&T. The spragues have copper leads ( plated) and are non magnetic. the F&T are steel and magnetic, if that means anything to you. Change the bias cap. The cathode caps are probably fine, they don't see much voltage and they value is pretty over kill anyway. I seldom change them unless they are bad.
The label does not tell you exactly what the circuit is either. Fender used what they had even after he made a revision. It was always a work in progress. I would not change any resistors unless they are flat out bad, ie noisey or open. The plates do drift( usually higher) and that is cool. And if you do I would use a CC anyway everywhere even the PS and screens. It is one of fenders most sought after amps and go for high $$. Keep it as original as possible.

I read the same thing about the numbers relating to the Oxford or Jensen speakers. This amp has reissue Jensens but if the tube chart number means anything, it had Jensens originally too.
@Billyz I agree its best to keep this amp as original as possible. It has not had a soldering iron to it ever as I can see. The tubes are really old too. This amp sounds fantastic even with the leaking caps. I think if it was mine I would replace the tubes, the bias and filter caps only (keeping the originals in case I wanted to sell the amp).

For that matter the tubes might even be good. I have had alot of old amp and the tubes were fine. Those RCA's are the best.Tonegeek wrote:I read the same thing about the numbers relating to the Oxford or Jensen speakers.
