Looks more like Ebay yanked it cuz I now can't even view the expired listing. I'm sure it was hammered because of the Trainwreck reference, but I'm betting the fashion police had a warrant out for him as well. Then again, I've heard that I make some of the ugliest builds around.

Coincidentally, Ebay yanked my auction today too. I whipped up a few different 6L6 5E3 builds a few months ago just to try out some different stuff and burn up excess parts. I've already auctioned off a couple of them with no probs using the Fender name in my title, but today's auction was pulled because of search word manipulation and an improper link to a Myspace profile. Methinks it was a personal jab.

I hate ebay it's just a money making pit for them with listing and selling fees.

Most of the time if I really want an item I have to over pay to get it.

Think about it you can run your own bits up having friends helping to manipulate the bits.

Just like the regular auctions around my area, I see it all the time. Family and friends make sure the items are run up high and stand around listening to the bidders talk to see who is really interested. Easy to tell the interested buyers usually camp out next to the item waiting for it to come up for bid.

the only good thing about ebay is when someone wants to complete the transaction outside of ebay.

Ebay auctions quite frequently are over inflated. With that said, I have bought some great items at great prices. The key for me is to have ZERO emotional attachment to the item and my success or failure to win the auction. I decide what I am willing to pay, enter the bid via a snipe and ignore the auction until it is over. I have had some great results mixed in with many auctions in which I was outbid.

Word. Ebay sent me an email this week stating that they'll soon be counting shipping costs as part of the total sale amount when they tally an auction's final value fee. I know they prolly did it to stop folks that use the system to sell little 99-cent pieces of junk with a $5.99 shipping charge. However, it just makes the rest of us suffer for selling heavy items.

Yeah there has been some discussion about the new shipping fee tax.

A caution about doing a transaction outside of ebay.

The scammers are already on that and you can get ripped off because you have no protection as you do with Paypal, which isn't the greatest to begin with but it is something.

The sad part is now the buyer has all the power and can simply have buyers remorse and say there is something wrong with the item.
If you don't agree to a refund then Paypal will freeze your account.

Also a buyer can trash your reputation and you can't really give the buyer a bad rep

It was clearly stated as being a clone, but had a "Trainwreck" logo on it.

I sent the guy a message and he thanked me and I believe he pulled it. I referenced the words trainwreck clone in one of my auctions and they pulled it.

I missed the ebay item, but from the sound of this thread, it's ok to list clones as long as they are not Trainwreck clones? How are the TW clones different than others?

Trainwreck and Dumble clones are policed.

However I did notice a Dumble clone listed on ebay last weekend!

feebay sucks,I had a auction once that the winner didn't pay.The rules said I had the right to sell it to the next highest bidder. But when I went to contact them they had cancelled/erased the auction so I had no why to contact them. Then I had to protest there fees. It was a total waste of my time.
