Let's see some pics of that beast, sounds cool.
Thanks. One of my first original designs and it still may be my favorite. The little dial on the front progressively turns on the tubes, so you can have 5 watts, 10 watts parallel SE, 10 PP, 20 or 30.

MusicMan 50 watt 112RD (reverb, channel switching) Midshift (rev E)version with EV alnico SRO12 "coffee can".
Mostly stock, sounds nice as-is.
Backup is the 50RD head version (rev D) of the same amp with a few select mods.
Usually played through a 212 EVM12S vertical "slant" cab or 112 floor monitor cab with a Force12.

Sometimes practice amp is a Fender Champ II in a Musicmaster Bass cabinet with a Utah/Fender 12.
Nice little 18 watt master volume amp.

Lots of other stuff to chose from ...

Right now it's a VVT X-40. Dumble-ish type Overdrive. Great cleans, overdrive, and loves pedals.

I'm a TW builder kinda guy. Figured I'd never put together my Funk OD kit. So pulled the trigger after some personnel demos. Plus Jim Hill is one helluva guy.

For me it has been my CA OD2-100 for 4 years now. Have gone through dozens, but this has stayed. For a clean only amp, my modded Weber 6S100 kit I assembled is the clean tone I have always desired.

That's really cool, how does that work?

Thanks Chris, no big deal, just disconnects the pi output from the grids and grounds them out.

I finally got around to scoping this thing out and boy, was I off. At the highest setting, it's something like 9 watts clean, 30 clipped (still not sure how this is possible) and it dials down to something like .6 watts clean/2-3 watts clipped - I did not consider the OT load in the switching, so by the time you get down to one or two tubes, the impedance is mismatched pretty severely, which attenuates the power further.

Depends on who I'm playing with.
Either my 2nd generation ODS clone into 1X12 open-back with EVM 12L,
or a '67 Ampeg Gemini II with original Jensen 15. Always had a soft spot for old Ampeg's............it's in my back about 3/4 of the way down. Used to be a vertebrae there.
