Teflon wires are superior - they almost suck tin (pewtr) in but are bitch to peel.
Allyn, you used gauge 16 all around but gauge 20 for grounding?

The Teflon[PTFE] is the insulation and regular wire strippers "chicken out" when asked to remove it. I like the razor blade method 'cept it took a little practice getting the cut just right. You know, to not nick the conductors. Surgeons probably have a similar experience when they're starting out.

It is all 20AWG Teflon. If you see thicker it is the PVC wire of the trannys.

The best stripper I find for teflon is a $12.00 Radio shack auto stripper. Use the hole one size larger than the solid core wire and boom!...like butter! Works fantastic every time. Stranded teflon is always tougher!

The stranded is all I've ever used. Where I live it can be for cheap at the surplus joints. I never see solid core though. Do you have any for sale Allyn? I don't remember seeing it on your site but you hadn't unloaded all the shipping containers yet. Something like that...

Hi there
Beautiful amp. i bet it sounds just as good as it looks.
I live in Australia and have looked at buying a komet for a little while now, but im a lil worried about shipping it to Australia and i am looking at paying about $250-$200 shipping. So i was thinking about building a komet myself to see what all the fuss is about.
I would really appreciate any schematics or layouts you have regarding komets amps
my email is brendon.w@bordernet.com.au
