Amp cradle
I recently got an ampcradle from a guy in NJ. I had it custom made because I also work on larger chassis. The range of the cradle is about 12 to 28 inch wide chassis. Currently there's a 27.5 inch chassis on it. And the height of the cradle allows me to work with huge transformers too and leave my tools under the chassis. The disadvantage is that the cradle is a bit high because of this, but I turned that into a plus by deciding that I like a tall chair anyway.
I think that the price is in the 100-200 range depending on the specs.
I like the fact that I do not have to physically hang over the chassis which is a big plus for my back!
In case any of us here would like one of these made, please email me and I'll provide you with the builder's email address.

That is a nice one.
Very tall!
I can see why he put the wide feet on it.
I have plans for a similar one that I built.
I was surprised at how much it cost me to buy all the materials to build one.
The important thing is that it holds the chassis securely when tilting it.

I was going to make one but have so much going on so I bought the Weber cradle which is high quality and works very well. Not as high as this monster though.

Re: Amp cradle
Jelle, that looks a lot like the one I got from Trinity Amps in Toronto. It will go about 26" wide but it is not as high as yours.

Re: Amp cradle
Kinda OT but has anybody tried the Weber HV electrolytics? They're cheap enough..

Hey Jelle, you inspired me. I thought I'd try my hand at making one this past weekend. Pics are from my iphone, so definitely not the best pics. But you get the idea. Came out pretty cool.

Good job Ron.

Nice Ron!
A piece of advice I can give about the felt on the arms.
I used suede leather on one I built and the chassis wanted to slide too easily.
I almost dumped one amp onto the floor because of it.
I bought some rubber shelf lining stuff for tool box drawers and it provides a nice anti-slip surface that grips the chassis better and it won't slide on it.
Just an FYI
