VVR3 layout

Post by andy_wreck_fan »

Hello,
I was wondering is there a layout for VVR3 kit?

I'm new to this, and I made my amp from layout since I don't know how to read schematics....
I used search option but didn't found anything....

What kind of amp are you installing it in? Are you looking for a layout for the cathode bias circuit?

The Fixed bias VVR that I sell is Proprietary and I have never published any schematic or layout. I only put the schematic and layout for the cathode bias on the web for anyone to use for free. You can contact me through my website if you would like to pick up a fixed bias VVR .

The VVR3 I got it's from You,a while back.....it has the litle layout kinda thing, but I can't figure it all the way out.....

What I know is how to put those wires.....the bias wires confuse me....
I made a lil layout here myself to show what I do know....

Sorry about that I misunderstood what you were asking for, I have updated your drawing. Just take the wire going to the lug marked bias on the preamp board loose and run that to the bias in on the VVR board. Then run a wire from the bias out on the VVR to the lug on the preamp board labeled bias in your drawing. That's abot it. Make sure the trimmer pot on the VVR board is turned so the arrow is pointing towards the back of the VVR board (MAx setting and use the normal bias pot in the amp to adjust the bias.

Another question is,should I discharge capacitors before doing this?

Yes, unless you love to get zapped.

Is the pot touching the white part of the resistor or the wire coming out the end of the white resistro. If it is just touching the white part of the resistor and NOT the wire coming out the end you should be fine
