I built a ODS 101 non HRM a while back. I drilled the holes and put in the output and input jacks for the loop but never wired them. Since I'm building a D'Lator, I have to wire the jacks. Question: what is the purpose of the 100k resistor between the master volume wiper and the send jack and is it needed?
Thanks,
Ken

Re: 100k Resistor
I'm going to guess that it is intended to work with the cable capacitance to form a low-pass filter. 100k ohms and 100 pF would put the turnover frequency at 16kHz.

On the schematic I have it shows the 100K between the HRM Treble pot and Master pot.
Which schematic are you using?

Re: 100k Resistor
The 100K on ODS 101 Non HRM, is a non standard part. I seem to remember dogears mentioning that it may be a TUT type mod, but not something that has been observed in a real deal ODS.
Cheers,
Paul..

I had already wired the jacks before looking at the schematic, so I don't have the 100k there now. I'll just leave that way for now and see how it works. The 100K on ODS 101 Non HRM, is a non standard part. Re: 100k Resistor
Along similar lines the #124 amp shows a 220K/250pf on the wiper of the master to the tip of the send jack.
I included that when I built my Dumbleator.
Recently when I was inside the amp again I shorted that network out and didn't really hear a difference between it being there verses not.
So not sure what it is supposed to do.
Perhaps it is to counter any high pf cables being used to and from the pedal board.
