New Trainwreck build commencing.

Post by JamesHealey »

Just about to start building a cheap Wreck build.

It's essentially going to be a mix of the liverpool/express.

I'm using the Liverpool Pre-amp Values.. but I'm using a Marshall 18W OT with two 6V6 tubes that are going to be cathode biased instead of Grid biased like the express.

Should be an interesting build I've just ordered everything today so should start arriving tomorrow I'm going to photograph the entire build.

Won't be a true wreck but much nearer the 20W power I like, yet without having to loose too much bass by going to x2 EL84 or using a KT88 in SE and having no PI which I tried and didn't like.

Really?

Yeah, but you guys have got real fish and chips, great beer, better radio stations, reasonably priced Hiwatts,...etc.

The weather here is nice, though... :D

I did a day at the new Hiwatt factory for a job interview there.. y'know the place where they make the new Handwired amps, they're quite nice actually, they also make the JMI (Vox Clone) stuff their too.

Owned by a bunch of crooks though but hey what else is new about big businesses.
