As a sort of extension to the fake capacitor threads, I wonder what experiences you guys have with NOS electrolytics.
AS en EE , I'd generally be very wary about using electrolytics that are, say 10 years or more.
OTOH - I too have quite a lot of them in my stash, I even have a handful of the old Sprague ATOM paper wrapped HV 'lytics....
what's your exeperiences with using, maybe after "reforming", this old stuff? How about reliablity?

just slow form the caps using larry's method (100k after rectifier and wait til the voltage drop over the 100k goes down to 5v or less)

The hot water method (also one of Larry's favourites) is worth doing on old caps too, to break down the electrolyte crystallisation, before reforming.
