Hi,
I'm new to this forum and was wondering what the ratio control on dumble amps is for?
Thanks

The Ratio pot controls the overdrive volume.
Sort of like a overdrive master volume.
There has been a lot of confusion because some amps have Level and Ratio while others have Drive and Volume.
The Level or Drive is the amount of gain or distortion from the overdrive stage.

The naming is both annoying and confusing.
Both controls are just variable voltage dividers to dump signal to ground.

While that may be, I have yet to come across a single control on an amp called "Voltage Divider."
