D'LITE REVERB DRIVER AND TANK
Hi, I am interested in retro fitting my D'lite with a reverb and have the layout. I wanted to know what the reverb driver specs and tank would be most appropriate for this mod? Any clarity would be appreciated. You Rock!!!!!!!!!!

Re: D'LITE REVERB DRIVER AND TANK
We've messed around with this reverb circuit and I didn't particularly care for it..There isn't enough drive out of 1/2 of the AX to really push the tank so you get a kind of sterile lifeless verb from it.. It's not bad if you want to add just a touch to give you the added dimension but don't expect Fender type lush verb with it just to let you know!!

If that is the same reverb that the guy who recently completed the BlueMonkey 88 amp has, I thought from the clips it sounded really good.
I'm pretty sure I asked him if it was the amps reverb being heard on the clip and he said yes.
It was deep and lush sounding very Fenderish to me.
But I don't know anything about that circuit so I can't say for sure that is the same as in his amp.
What would improve that circuit Tony while keeping it to one tube?

I've used the revefb ckt in a few amps. I really like it. No it's not Fender surf, but it's nice and warm if you have a good tank, with plenty of depth.

Don't get me wrong I don't think this circuit is un-useable and used sparingly works fine for most..But when you began to really push it I could hear the anomalies of an under driven tank... There are quite a few threads here if you do a search to guy's who have come up with their own take on it and have found something they liked.. I think Gary has one that people gave kudos too..I didn't spend much time here since we figured there were better tubes out there that drove the tank better in our case we went the 6bm8..1/2 pentode (if you use it that way) to drive it 1/2 triode recovery...I am sure opinions still very but I am so used to that thick lush reverb we use in our Fralin Model it's hard compromising...
Sorry I cannot post our BM8 circuit trade secret but here is one posted here a while back that is similar and to me surfs better if that's your kind of thing huh!!.. Hope it helps...

Tony I was looking at the specs for the 6BM8 tube and the pinout doesn't seem to match that schematics labeling.
Specifically pins 8 & 7.
That circuit is using the pentode side right?

2 and 7 are also swapped.
The reverb driver use the pentode side of the tube, the recovery is done with the triode.

Looks very similar to one I did with an ECL86. Works great.talbany wrote:I didn't spend much time here since we figured there were better tubes out there that drove the tank better in our case we went the 6bm8..1/2 pentode (if you use it that way) to drive it 1/2 triode recovery...I am sure opinions still very but I am so used to that thick lush reverb we use in our Fralin Model it's hard compromising...

Re: D'LITE REVERB DRIVER AND TANK
If your confused and want to run the pentode as a triode you can tie pin 6 and 7 together..This will give you more drive to the tank than an Ax yet be similar in circuit..

Yep!!..Sorry didn't do the schematic!!... I liked the ECL too..

Re: D'LITE REVERB DRIVER AND TANK
Hi all , I seen the layout reverb posted here , I have a doubt , the resistor 2k2 and 820 Ohm are not reversed? I have a schematic with 820 on drive side and 2k2 on recovery side.
