I'm kind of surprised that Andy hasn't chimed in here to offer some suggestions.

I don't think anyone will argue that this is an amazing Dumble tone clip, jazz setting all the way. 8)

I'm not surprised that Andy hasn't chimed in. For one, I have not approached him directly about this. Secondly, he offers this service as part of his business model. In some sense, he would be giving away IP.

I have heard good sounds with the jazz setting. There is just no bloom with the jazz setting in my amp.

I suppose I will contact Andy directly and discuss things further. Thanks for your help guys - it is appreciated.

FWIW, I am planning a 124 build when I can find the time between designing analog ICs, kids, coaching, being a husband, and actually making music. It could be a while. When I get moving on the project I will provide some feedback and hopefully, some worthwhile technical information.

I work for a shop that sells Fuchs amps, and I noticed that they do lack some sparkle in the D-style clean channel.
What worked for one player was disconnecting the feedback loop
on V1b and adjusting the OD trim pot (lowering from 39K to 30K).
More sparkle, different texture in overdrive. This was a SLX model

You might want to try 100k/1k5/10µ on both stages of the clean channel.
At least in my Non-HRM 80s 50W I clearly prefer it over the 220k/150k cleans.

Markus
