rocket layout
does anyone have a correct layout for the trainwreck rocket. i seached and found that some people posted half ones or wrong ones . is there a right one that some one has built and tested .
My poor layout.
Welcome to the forum.
I guess your talking about my layout. Half finished and wrong. It's good having things handed to you but you won't learn as much. Having said that, I admit I have benefited greatly from layouts and pictures. There is no complete layout for the Rocket. All of the amps were tuned individually anyway.
Do a search on Rocket then read every post until you know them by heart.
Thats what I did. You will find the schematic in the files section. Ask questions people will help you.
I will say that the layout for mine which I will update in the next few days sounds great and is tested. I drew this layout after examining pics of Tubedogsmiths and Paul Ruby's amps. I also fined tuned the values after reading the discussion between Mr. Ruby and Tubedog. Is it correct? I have no idea, but it sounds great.
My amp is using my preamp layout posted (all you have to do is reverse the wiring for the V,T B controls) and a Liverpool PS w/ a tube rectifier using a resistor instead of a choke.
But.....I don't have Visio so it will be handwritten.
