What would be your first choice?

I ask as for many years Mercury rated well and then the Marstan stuff came along and it was the latest and greatest.

Thanks for you assistance.

Personally, I don't see a need to seek the latest and greatest.

If I am low on cash, I spec Classictone. If I have a little more cash, Mercury does it for me...

The Onetics are also really great transformers.

I heard the 2204 conversion on Saturday while Carl was trouble shooting and disturbingly quickly finding my bone headed mistake on my newest build. Its a true beast of an 800. Carl makes any amp sound good when he's playing it but that one was on another level. Game over good.

Thanks again for the help my friend!!!

Transformers depend on whether your building the best for yourself or you have a paying customer wanting the higher priced transformers.

If your like me and on a budget you shop around and Magnetic Components Classictone are great for the price. I've had zero problems with MC iron.

I also like to use Edcor and other brands offered by www.rjguitars.net
