So now, to get rid of some more heavy stuff, I'm building a nice amp with parts I already have, and then I'll sell it (unless I fall madly in love with it).
All I have so far is a chassis fit check pic, But I've got the design worked out and it shouldn't take me more than a week or so to put it together.
It's a cross of a 2204 MV preamp (with one input, copying the High Sensitivity input's topology) and a 5G9 Tremolux power amp (no NFB, fixed bias), but without the tremolo..

The PT is a 370EX (275-0-275ct/150mA/6.3ct/4A).
The OT is a GDS Amps 18-watt (8K pri, 4//8/16 sec). The choke is a 14684, as used on almost all of the tweed amps.
I'm hoping for a B+ of 390V or so (this PT will probably be able to maintain that), with SS rectifier, 100uF reservoir (F&T 50/50 cap can w/ both caps in parallel), and 50uF CG-series single cap cans for each of the other 4 nodes. For the power tube cathode resistor, I'll start with 300 ohms and tweak from there.
I hope to get this done pretty quickly, and put in a nice small box Marshall head box I've had around forever.
Wish me luck - more pics to follow
