I like the JTM45 internal jumpered type of mod using two different triode circuits with individual pots hi/lo to get a mixed tone.

See Eric's schematic below for SE amp which I use his preamp into a 5f6 type PI and power section.

Faceplate arrived (http://www.panelcraftinc.com). Ain't she sharp? I'm appointing this the Official Amp of the Swedish Ski Patrol.

As you can see, I consolidated the two gain controls, tossed out the Tone control, and moved all the pots toward the input jacks for best lead dress.
