Yes it does make sense!
When I die, I want to go like my Grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming like the passengers in his car!

Cutting out a man's tongue does not mean he’s a liar, but it does show that you fear the truth he might speak about you!

Glad to see you got your noise problem solved. I watched your video and aside from the noise you were showing, noticed a little bit of hum. Not, much and very tolerable. You might be able to eliminate it, though.

Not sure how you have your power supply caps grounded, but you might try grounding the pre-amp and powerside caps separately. The first amp I ever built was the 5F6A circuit, and separating the grounds made the amp dead quiet. Second amp was a Rocket, same result on that one. Since then, I've always made sure to ground the pre-amp and power filter caps separately.

best regards,
mike

Thanks Mike - I will take a look at that. Having spent so much time nosing around inside her I'm eager to do a few tweaks again, so this will be on my list :)
Cheers

I had similar troubles with a 5e3. The high voltage lead had a cold joint and the socket was cracked across high voltage. Replaced it, fixed the joint, and the output tranny I blew wheniI found out I had a problem and she's playing beautifully.
