the greatest of the british blues players, singers, songwriters, and bandleaders. One of the most tasteful players ever. He and Kirwan were untouchable in 1968-70. Just listen to the Boston teaparty recording from 1970.

It struck me that there is whole generation of greats that have more years in the rear view than in the windshield. Surely, we have lost one of the great seminal players of an era and it is, indeed, sad news. Peter Green was in a class of his own. He had drive and vision. After playing with Mayall, he went on to form an extraordinary band to which he contributed a catalog of great material. I like to think of them as "the real Fleetwood Mac." He will be missed.
