Mott was one of Bowie's favorite bands. Dale was 67, same age as Frey. This is happening to fast for me. I haven't finished re-listening to all of Bowie's stuff yet.

Most people would probably say Mott the WHO?
Before I even knew who they were, I saw MTH perform as the headliner with Aerosmith as the warmup act.
When I was a teenager we would go down to Cincinnati Music Hall and volunteer usher and get to see free shows.(back in the 70's)
I remember the big "H" shaped guitar that Ian Hunter brought out to play.

This is scary. BB was ready to keel over that last two times I saw him. Bowie wasn't much older than me. Or Glen. It surprised me when JJ Cale went. Clapton and Keith are alive. McCartney and Ringo. Thank God for recordings.
