In the 50's as well as presently I was and am the "butch". AKA "skint" 1/8" long. Like my amps and my beer , it's DIY. In the mid to late sixties it was "Beatle" then in the early seventies it was "Jim Dandy Black Oak Arkansas". Then from about '76 to mid 90"s "Dirty Harry".

That goes with a DA = Duck's Ass, not on the chart. Popular in the late 40's among late teens, 20's crowd. Was considered daring at the time, for hoodlums & early rockers. Common smokes were Camel, Pall Mall, Chesterfield, Old Gold, Kool. Filter smokes were considered effete or effeminate. Mid-late 60's I remember guys who would bum a smoke, get a filter cig, then complain & rip the filter off before lighting up.David Root wrote:And what brand of smokes under your T-shirt sleeve?
