As long as your amp draws less than, say, 50mA, this is awesome:

Re: Draw your amp!
More of a gimmick than a tool. But it might be ok for some types of repairs.
I don't think I could send something out fixed or built with that I.

There is nothing novel of the technology. "Flex" circuits have used the same technology for many years where the conductive ink is silk screened onto a polyester sheet, then die cut to shape. What is creative, is packaging it in a pen for "hobby use".

I pledged money for this so they sent me a kit but I had a real problem with current draw.
Current.... draw.

Re: Draw your amp!
I was looking for a tutorial on how to draw a 12AX7. Didn't see any.
Do I draw it like it looks and then put it in a corked bottle or is there something more? Perhaps we could start building a library.
By the way, conductive ink pens have been around for a LONG time.

No, you have to draw one of those red rubber dampers around the glass bottle so you can use it as a cork! IMO, you'll need to be good a drawing for it to work right.vibratoking wrote: ...and then put it in a corked bottle...

Re: Draw your amp!
Really cool idea, but noise and breakdown voltage would probably be a problem. If it draws too much current could that start a small fire?
Re: Draw your amp!
looks like it would be great for amp building.....if you wanted to power your amp with a watch battery.
It's all about the tone!
