Something pretty special just happened... Alejandro Escovedo lost his guitarist, leaving just him, bass, and drums. So, after a couple of tunes Los Lobos' David Hidalgo sat in for a couple, and then he was joined by bandmate Steve Berlin on Bari sax. ...and they made it sound like they'd done it all before! You could see some intense non-verbal communication going on, and after each song David looked a little relieved, but it turned out great, fantastic even.

There was a small screw-up on the start time for Tedeschi-Trucks (probably 15 min off), and they opened up to a 3/4 empty pavilion. Must have been a little un-nerving for them, but shortly thereafter it was packed.

I don't know how this thing didn't get promoted more.

Sounds like a long drive.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Nice line up.

I miss going to out door music festivals.

As a grumpy old man I just can't do the traffic jams and parking nightmares anymore.

The Portland River Concerts used to have great shows and traffic wasn't too bad.

Saw BB King there years ago before he was sickly.

Don't let that smoke out!

This was an older and well behaved crowd. Not Bonaroo or Electric Forrest... I'm too old for that.
