Musicman Guitars and Basses is not a brand I think about very often.
I know they are supposed to be a decent guitar and they get quite a bit of play on the pro scene but after watching this video I came away with a new appreciation of how they go about it.

I find the standard MM bass to be the best F style neck for me. The bodies are usually too heavy. guitars...meh

A '98 Stingray is my main go to bass. Clean to mean and pretty much any style. It goes from Fender to Pedulla. It's main stream competition is the Ibanez ATK bass. The ATK is heavier, a big stiffer tone wise but still very close to the fit and feel and coming in at a 1/3 of the price.
One of the Earnie ball plants is in coachella, strings and paper materials. The instruments are made in san louie abisbo (spelling?) on the coast of Northern LA.
If you want to make friends with Sterling invite him golfing

Interesting vid Tom.
A few years back (early 00's), me and a friend were doing a Californian road trip. I was planning to buy a MM Axis (the ex Van Halen model) before I came back to the UK.
On our way to LA we stopped off at San Luis Obispo and found the factory. When we found it, we figured what the hell and asked for a tour. They were so courteous and friendly, and gave us pretty much a full tour of what was in that vid. I seem to remember seeing one of the Nigel Tuffnell guitars - you know the one with the speedometer? They even jokingly offered me and my friend a job wiring up guitars! We left grinning ear to ear with a free Ernie Ball T Shirt each.
Needless to say, I bought that Axis a few days later. It's a great quality rock guitar. I really like the truss rod adjustment which is at the body end of the neck. I still have it, but my tastes have changed and tend to play hardtail guitars these days.

Very impressive detail to the neck makes me want to try one of these guitars out. Great video.
