The Cookie Monster voice has been way over done.

It was funny one day I was watching that show called Oddities on TV and the lead singer from Korn was on there.
He is kind of a soft spoken man in real life and seemed kind of shy.
He had on these big black plastic framed glasses which made him look like a geek.

Well later they showed him in a concert and yep, Cookie Monster Want Cookie!

What impressed me about the guy in the video I posted was the steroid over dosed muscles and veins popping out.
He must of pumped up good before that was shot.

I don't know how they know where they are in a song because it all sounds the same.

It's math rock how many notes can you fit in a measure and keep it as clean crisp and tight as possible. Try mixing a 7 piece group like this Full drums 15+pieces, bass, 2 guitars, kettle drums/5 gallon drums, turntables, and multiple vocals. cookie monster verse to melodic chorus.
and not only does every note need to be heard it needs to be loud.

Honestly, this is the epitome of bad guitarist. If you're playing to impress others, you suck.

George Harrison was a much better guitarist than this guy, because what he played contributed to the song. Same with David Gilmour.

Even a searing solo like Hendrix' Machine Gun, was still representative of the song, and the pain of war. If you listen closely, those are the screams of women and children.

Maybe I'm just an old fart, but the greatest freedom I've achieved in my life is no longer having to worry about what others think of me.
