RCA tubes Made in Harrison NJ

Post by ampmike »

Hey Guys,I did a small repair job in NJ and the home owner was at a garage sale last week and said the guy had a few hundred tubes for sale.I went to the house and saw they were all red box rca preamp tubes unused.Well he gave me a few 12at7"s,and the tubes had a small deposit on them but the guy never came with the cash, anyway I still have a shot at the whole batch but I really do not know if some of them are any usefull for guitar amps ,Here is a list of some of them:6j6a,6aq5a,6cq8,12bm7a,6dr7,6c67,6aw8a,6fub,6ar7,122b,5ub,12bh7,6u8a,6cb6a,5j6,5u8,andlots more.Seeing at least a few 12at7's got my hopes up,Are any of the above usefull,Any help apreciated,Mikey

12BH7 is a potential driver tube in high powered (>100W) amps. Was used as such in the Ampeg SVT. Some of those you have a b in should be a 6 I think.

35 cents a tube is a pretty solid bet, especially if there are some ham radio tubes in there too.
