Pretty soon there won't be no ammo to buy...now that's gun control. It's already almost unobtainable.

I have wondered about that.
At this point most shelves are still bare.
And it has driven the price of ammo up so much it's ridiculous.
On a positive note, (maybe) any of you guys see the new tech for sniper rifles?
It is a computerized scope that takes all ballistic factors into consideration for a one shot kill up to a mile or so away.

"Bought up by the Social Security Administration" there's a hint. What do THEY need zillions of rounds for, for Pete's sakes? Maybe when we apply we'll get a choice, a little direct deposit or two in the chest and one in the head.vibratoking wrote:Pretty soon there won't be no ammo to buy...now that's gun control. Yeh, I'm seeing an unfortunate parallel between the USSR demise (much to blame on a protracted war in - Afghanistan - plus unnecessary long term expenditure on miltary, failure to address infrastructure, and a moribund economy. Leading to the fracturing of the former "evil empire" with hyper-inflation and old folks getting killed off by starvation (due to pensions becoming worthless) or thugs (who take over their living quarters.) Well so far the US economy is holding up well if the stock indexes are any indication but who knows what the future will bring. Maybe we're in the echo bubble...
OK I'll get off the soap box now. Somebody needs the soap. Happy August everybody!

Don't believe it. The stock market is being manipulated by Bernanke and the Federal Reserve via digitizing slight-of-hand. It's a lie.Leo_Gnardo wrote: ....... Well so far the US economy is holding up well if the stock indexes are any indication ..............

Completely agree. The market is the highest its ever been.
Why does no one have any money?
Some of the stocks have been tossed back and forth to jack up the price so thst the market maker appears to have enough equity to borrow money.

All that money that is being "printed" is going to the same big failed banks because you all believe in trickle down, right.
It really works in China. They have a communist dictatorial base. It doesn't work in a fascist oligarchy like we have.

Bernanke isn't even printing it ...... they're just "digitizing" it ..... which is a fancy way of making it appear on paper out of thin air. "Fancy" being a euphemism for outright thievery in this case.

"The Wealth Effect"
Listen for it. It's the recovery plan. There is no recovery and won't be until there is a proper crash. Stop wasting my life with foolishness.

Trickle down, as I explained my POV to an ivy league college professor 32 years ago, after hearing the term too many times from Saint Ronald, means you let the well-to-do set up their outhouse on your roof. And what trickles down - the digested remains of yesterday's champagne and caviar etc - is what you are allowed to use to fertilize your victory garden. How generous. I didn't get any argument back then. Then again ivy league professor = la la liberal every time, right?cbass wrote:Trickle down works I'm gettin just enough to stay alive.

It's a sprint down the inflation track any way you slice it. My prediction: mid-late 70's inflation to return. Gov't low-ball inflation claims have always been bogus. What has been swept under the rug over several admin's whether Prez is R or D will come popping out much to (nearly) everyone's chagrin.NickC wrote:Bernanke isn't even printing it ...... they're just "digitizing" it ..... which is a fancy way of making it appear on paper out of thin air. Of course I COULD be full 'o baloney. Don't raise a point of blood pressure over what I might think. Stick around and we'll see what happens. Maybe everything WILL be moonbeams and polka dots. Beer & skittles. Like that...

Trickle down does work. If you have excess cash and I provide a service you need it works. If you have no excess and pay for my healthcare you aren't going to need my service and I won't have to feel pride in anything but the ability to find programs you can pay for.
