Thanks for the prayers guys. They finished getting the clot and the leg is going down and pinking back up. He is back in a regular room and out of ICU. A couple of toes are turning black and may have to come off. The vascular guy is going to give them 3 days to see if they pink back up but he has lost all feeling in the big toe. Soon he can get more chemo.

We're still with you and your brother, passfan.

I'm heartened to see you refer to a team working with your brother. That's the best way to get a good outcome.

Well they're still fighting the clots. His other leg and his right elbow started swelling so he went back on anticoagulants. They seem to be working so far except for his balls. Yes his balls are the size of a grapefruit and its driving him crazy. He has to ice them to keep the pain down. The doctor is promising round 2 of chemo soon. The toes are still there but the juries out on those. His big toe is the size of the end of John Holmes ....well you get the idea. It's big and black. I go to see him everyday and we cut up. He is still laughing. Thanks to all you hear . You really are helping.

Sorry there are so many complications.
Man it just doesn't get anymore personal than the swelling of the lower region, man that can be painful.
Hard to remain modest when we have trouble down there.....

Glad he can keep a sense of humor through this.
That means he is keeping positive, though I am sure he is frightened.

Sometimes it is amazing what the medical field can do these day and it is also disturbing how little they know when you come down with a less than common health issue.
Ask anyone with a autoimmune problem.

Anyway, still saying prayers for your bro to keep positive and to give the
treating physicians the knowledge to cure him of this cancer.
Tom

Fuck! I'm a pacifist, man, but I say we take up arms and go kill this cancer! That's really awful and terrible and bad.

The brother of my friend is my brother. Here's some probably corny jokes:

- A guy walks into a bar, and goes "Ouch!"

- A neutron walks into a bar; he asks the bartender, "How much for a beer?"The bartender looks at him, and say "For you, no charge."

- Heisenberg is out for a drive when he's stopped by a traffic cop. The cop says "Do you know how fast you were going?" Heisenberg says "No, but I know where I am."

- A young child says to his mother, "Mom, when I grow up I'd like to be a musician." She replies, "Well honey, you know you can't do both."

- How do you know your drummer is knocking on the door? The knocks speed up.

- How many guitarists does it take to change a light bulb? Fifty. One to do it and 49 to say, "I can do that."

- What happens when the bass player locks his keys in the car? Takes him an hour to get the drummer out.

I don't know shit about the universe, but in times like these the only thing I can suggest is love and laughter. Tell your brother those are Ballz of Steel (read my quit smoking thread), you and him will kick the shit out of this.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.
