Shuddap, I'm not done with you yet. Did you get that crappy 60/40 solder, or the proper eutetic 63/37 stuff?

At least there's some good news. I decided against the $25 flush cut cutters from McMaster after I found the $2.43 nippers at Harbor Freight. They're good and they have comfy handle!

i can say, my boss is singlehandedly keeping the HF here in sac in business. he buys EVERYTHING they have in duplicates. im familiar  although some of their stuff is garbage but with this lifetime warranty thing now and the free item no purchase flyers (you get them in the mail im sure?) i spend some time there myself

funny story, i kept buying those magnetic dish holders for parts and hardware -----and after a while its like, all these things are full up to the brim, i have no idea whats inside, now what? dont buy those things even though theyre awesome. its like crack

you got a set of $1 picks? orange handle like dental or something 4 pack? all day!

and oh yeah, 63 all the way. one of my favorite words is eutectic, and i frequently work it into conversations about other things, or just plain techno-babble

Cool.

But, oh shit! I just got home from dinner out, and I had left my soldering iron on for three hours! Hey, presto, a quick rub on the sponge and the tip is shiny as ever.

I've been looking for a countdown timer that I can run my iron power cord through to avoid this type of situation. Does anyone know of one?

That's only good for JCM 800s.

Wonder why I'm having so much trouble soldering my Mitchell PRO-100. Damn solder won't melt!
