I wonder where the NSA was on this?
They and all the rest of the alphabet soupers are good at gathering intel, not so good about analyzing. If some miscreant(s) aren't doing what others have done in the past, like lighting their shoelaces on fire, the investigation goes nowhere. And that NSA facility with 5 zetabits, they can gather data on how many squares of toilet paper we all use, what color our neighbor paints her toenails, etc etc & still miss the boat as it were, when ID'ing and apprehending the really bad bad guys. You can bet you'll be on there now if you buy a pressure cooker, or ever have.

Analysis - is paralysis.
When they found Dzhokhar hiding in the boat, I couldn't believe the gun fire that erupted, massive barrage.
I figured he was dead after that.
Blank barrage to try & draw Jokey out of the boat. Some reports that he fired back. Who knows. No photos or reports of the boat hull punctured by scores of rounds supports the "blanks" story.
Hopefully they will get a lot of intelligence from his interrogations.
Reports that he had been shot through the mouth or throat during the first firefight. I'll bet that hurt, good. He may not be able to talk but he will be able to write. Brother Tam arrived at the ER "with wounds from head to toe" plus being run-over by his brother. So no answers from him. I'm thinking that this was the work of a small circle of fiends. Spoiled-rotten kids that have no real reason to carry on the way they did. Anyone else planning such an attack just got a warning flag, in the modern day it ain't so easy to get away with it.

Don't most Jihadists plan on NOT getting away?

Most, maybe. Once I tried asking one but he went all to pieces.

And definitely not the spoiled-rotten mercedes-driving USA suburban-raised privileged character ones.

Although there's that report Tam had a kaboom vest on & may have tried to detonate it at the firefight, or it went off unplanned when hit by a round or 3. Doc's report frome the ER mentions burns on his chest consistent with explosives (such as one might get from mishandling fireworks) besides numerous bullet holes plus tire tracks. What a sorry sack of ____.

Edit: added @ 11:30 EDT
NY times reports that Jokey's mouth/neck wound is consistent with a suicide attempt. (Also had an M-4 on the boat.) His uncle in Maryland is so right - what a loser.

One good thing about the Mercedes was it had GPS and the cops (FBI) were able to track them.

There is a photo of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and the wound on his right side chest suggests the fact that his bro ran him over in his attempt to flee.

Here is the photo. WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTO!

GPS tracker in the stolen Merc SUV, bet they didn't think of THAT!

That's the left side in photo... maybe there's more damage on the right but no matter. He's fly bait now. Docs busted open Tam's chest to attempt relief of overpressure in his heart sac due to multiple trauma. Didn't work. Let the crows have at him.
