Bonamassa has a sparkle gold '61 Strat I think?. It sounds good but I don't think he takes the Fenders seriously. Like most rich guys he has whatever he wants but mostly plays the LPs in concert.
I always wanted a surf green w/maple board strat. They re-made them out of Mexico for a few years but I just didn't need any more guitars. (Blasphemy I know)

Something to do with a signature Stratocaster that didn't pan out.
